CAHIP AWARDS
CAHIP has a proud history of remarkable member and chapter participation. In addition to national recognition by NABIP, CAHIP is thrilled to recognize outstanding service with various awards on the state level. Congratulations to all award winners!
CAHIP Recognition Opportunities 2025:
California state-level awards recognize activities and service from January 1 - December 31, 2025, with nominations/applications due by April 15, 2026. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO APRIL 24!
Executive Board Member of the Year
This award is given to an Executive Board member, selected by the CAHIP President, who distinguished himself/herself through outstanding service during the year. Award application not required.
Chapter Excellence
Chapter of the Year Awards are being replaced with Chapter Excellence recognition based on how many of our criteria categories chapters are able to share. We will recognize the exceptional efforts of local chapters in membership growth and retention, legislative participation, PAC contributions, continuing education, and charitable involvement. Varied criteria levels are necessary for recognition of small (under 100 members), medium (100-199 members), and large (200+ members) sized chapters. Award application required.
Member of the Year
This award is given to a CAHIP member who has provided CAHIP with extraordinary service. Award application required.
Outstanding Local Chapter Newsletter
This award is given to a large and small local chapter for publication of high-quality, interesting, informative, and timely newsletters. Award application required.
Website of the Year
Nominated chapter websites will be reviewed by CAHIP leadership and a winner(s) will be selected based on how well the chapter promotes CAHIP events and legislative activities. Award application
Outstanding Chapter Membership Growth
This award recognizes the chapter with the greatest overall percentage of membership growth and the highest retention rate. The winner is selected based on data collected by CAHIP leadership. Award application not required.
Outstanding Membership Recruiter: The Robert K. Shepler Membership Award
This award is given to the individual who recruited the most new members during the year. In honor of longtime CAHIP member Robert K. Shepler. The winner is selected by data collected by CAHIP leadership. Award application not required.
William T. Robinson/M. Lloyd Baum Spirit of Freedom and Legislative Excellence
This award is given to a member of CAHIP who exemplifies the tireless effort in being a consumer activist on behalf of their clients, fellow insurance brokers and CAHIP itself. Award application required.
Industry Writing Award
This award is to be presented to an individual who has written and published informative, educational and beneficial articles to CAHIP and its local chapters over a number of years, providing invaluable information on a regular basis to our membership and the general public. This recipient should have been published on a regular basis inside of the association, in local chapter or state newsletters and magazines, and been published outside of the association at least once in the award year. Social Media Award
To be presented to a CAHIP member who has used Social Media as a key tool in providing valuable information to our members and followers on a regular basis. Award Application Required.
Innovation Award
This award recognizes the chapter demonstrating innovation in their marketing, education and membership recruiting efforts. Award Application Required.
